Building web applications on the Joyent Smart Platform means developers no longer need to worry about the things everybody else is worrying about.
You just write your code on the Joyent Smart Platform and it will take care of all the infrastructure your website will ever need, including: the data store, content store, backups and software upgrades. There will always be the right amount of server capacity to run your site, no matter how big or small.
The Joyent Smart Platform is completely open source. Therefore, you are never locked into Joyent in any way. We are competing on service and value, not on code. Of course, we are confident in our ability to dynamically provide the infrastructure you need at a competitive price point. You be the judge.
We’re looking forward to helping developers build great apps on the Smart Platform, while benefiting from our expertise gained from scaling web applications for enterprise customers like: LinkedIn, Facebook, Major League Baseball and the Gilt Groupe.
